Only the bellhousing cares about tooth count. Starter cares only that its bolts line up.

From what I can tell, the size, pitch and spacing of the flywheel teeth are the same whether it is on the Torque Converter of a 904 or 727, OR a manual from a slant six 9" clutch up to the truck 11" version. The mounting bolts and centering recess in the bellhousing determine where the starter fits. In theory, any starter that fits any slant six should fit almost any other traditional Mopar slanty, V6 or V8.

Just sent the RMA request to Mancini to get these awesome headers sent back to TTI.

They didn't fit... didn't even clear the mini truck starter.

If by Kubota you mean the 5.7 Ram Manual Trans starter recommended on TTI's page, than yes.

It is interesting that these actually hit the passenger side frame rail and they also hit the bellhousing on the passenger side. I'll give them a pass on the bell since it's a Quicktime, but the frame rail is pretty much a WTF. Even with the factory customizing they were no where close to clearing the Torsion Bars.

At this point I'm going to run the 2" and let them clearance themselves if necessary. Some point down the road I will look at it again, but I'm done spending money on this... again.

I had to buy a set of TTI headers just now and for those that are going the same route, I dealt with the guys at http://www.chicagoconnection.us/index.php?main_page=contact_us&zenid=and6sk2r8uj96g54g40cgen9c7
They are authorized distributors and had the most competitive shipping price with no tax if you are in California

I bought the TTI's and Borgeson box with adapters from Bergman Auto Craft. Figured if I had trouble with fit I'd have someone go to bat for me.

I got my headers in and here are some pics if anyone is thinking of going the TTI route.

I got the 6.1 Hemi swap into a B/E body with torsion bars un-coated part number TT61HC-C0 these are 1-3/4" tubes

Worth $642.00 dollars? You decide...

I would say these headers are good from far but far from great

I would have rather they not ground down the welds.

Passenger side collector looks like crap

Driver side collector not too bad

As long as the headers seal they shouldn't be too bad and with a black ceramic coat they should perform ok

I feel that quality wise they are a little below the quality of my Doug's D453 headers but I was able to get those for about $500 bucks

Oh well, I guess you get what you pay for...

Got my Doug's D4477R's today- $345USD. They may be only 1 5/8" tubes, but IMHO more quality looking than those TTI's. The smaller tube isn't going to hurt at my intended performance level. Besides, after reading the "Slick-Built Small Block" article in the April issue of Mopar Muscle, I've come to the conclusion that the less than 1% improvement they saw on that stroker (which would never be felt in the seat-of-the-pants) I'm a-gonna be happy with my buy...

My other complaint about the TTI'S is why put the o2 bungs on the outside of the collectors where rocks from the front tires can kill them?

One of the reasons why got uncoated headers.
I'm going to have those plugged and weld o2 bungs in the number 1 and 8 tubes

I don't take credit for this little gem, I learned it on FABO, but I think Wade Uchoog is using one.

Does this little gem fit a 440? And will it spin one with 11.25:1 CR?

-Michael

Well the Mopar mini starter it is replacing was on my BB if that tells you anything lol.

OK - I Guinea pigged today... this starter DOES NOT fit a 440. Definitely not one with a Quicktime Bellhousing. Starter is going back to the parts house now... either sticking with the stock Dakota mini starter with about 1/8" clearance between the starter lug and the block, or going to the RobbMC unit in all its clockable glory.

The Rob MC piece is nice but pricey. If it lasts forever then its worth it.

My bad Mike, I shouldn't have gotten so excited about it without further investigation.

Where is the interference? I bought one to go on my low deck, first thing I noticed was that one of the mounting holes is tapped. I was holding off on drilling it out, so I could return it. Right now I have to drop the K member and pull the master to get the header out. Then I'm dropping my pants for a set of TTI's

Don't drill!!! The solenoid clocking puts the solenoid into the block. Just to make sure we are on the same page here, I am referring to the starter that fits a 2005+ Dodge Ram 1500 with a 5 speed transmission shown about 28 posts back.
