4k pounds Turbo 400 and one of my cams. Sounds good and makes nice passes. That was single stage hit, that car has another stage too.

Cams in the high 250s at .050 Very hard to tune with the stock electronics. Aj from Arrington did the tune.
Sadly, Dan was forced to sell the car to finance his kids college

Yes, that was on a single stage. The car has another 250-300 shot on top of that.
I dunno what it would run at 3k Aj has a chally that's 3750 that's run a best of 8.71 at 159 That's with a lazy to me 1.32 short time

Find someone to show you pics of a broken block. I haven't seen even one yet, or even heard of one. The only issue seems to be oiling the crank at very high RPM. Put a decent rotating kit in it and I don't think it is gonna break any thing, especially if you put more cubes in it to bring the RPM down.
They can and do run very good, they took the top two spots in the engine masters challenge, the stock block is trusted by the factory to handle 800 hp in the hellcat (707HP Net+80HP to drive the blower+a little room for safety). There are plenty of bad to the bone gen III running awesome times in super stock, even stock heavy turds running very fast.
Anyone saying they don't do well is a cheby or ferd guy scared to admit the truth.

The guy that went 8.90s with his, split the block when he turned the second kit on.
The hellcat block should not be mistaken for the 6.1 or 5.7 block. There are lots of numbers thrown out there about what they can take as usual. I have heard the 6.1 crank is good to 1200hp, the factory PM rods good to 700, pistons are no good. The story with the block varies of course, same old story. I have seen guys blow 5.7 and 6.1 blocks and crack the cylinders at 750hp. There's really not much there, after all, if you measure the walls. But then I have seen guys run a twin turbo setup and make 1200hp at the crank on a 5.7 based stroker. Tune matters quite a bit, and your life expectancy of the setup. Talked to a guy a while back that bought the aluminum race block in his turbo challenger. Got him in the 8's, cracked the cylinders after 20 passes. He had Darton sleeves in the thing too. Just depends. I don't know if I would trust the 5.7 or 6.1 block much past 800. The 6.4 block is a different story, but even at 800 that's a ton of power for a factory platform! These engines are awesome for sure.

There is a 6.1/393 engine that was in a couple different cars before it was put in its final car. In the last car it was run on the street and raced at the track with somewhere between 1100-1200 WHP with a turbo AND nitrous for 2 years and a couple weeks ago it lost a head gasket and hydroed, busted 2-3-4 main caps in between the main studs. This was a factory 6.1 block with factory main caps. If it wasn't for losing a HG it would probably still be going.
Mopar to the bone!!!
