Has anyone bought the TTi exhaust (muffler delete) and used the Hooker Max Flow muffler in the place of the Dynomax Super Turbos that TTI supplies?

It looks like the two mufflers are very close dimensionally (offset/center) and it appears that the Max Flows could bolt right in.
DST: 4 1/4" x 9 3/4" x 14" case, 18.5" oal
HMF: 4 3/4" x 10 1/4" x 14" case, 19.0" oal

Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks

From the dimensions you gave, you should be good.

I am assuming so, but I can't seem to find anyone who has bolted the Max Flows into the TTi system. Thank you!

Since the Max Flows are rated at 120+ db's at WOT, I am planning on mounting one of Eric's (Classic Chambered Exhaust) custom resonators on each side of the gas tank. Eric will work with me on the length but I need to mount the system to know exactly how much room I will have for the resonator. But what I noticed from the TTi pictures is that the rear tailpipe has a metal strap that is welded onto the top of the pipe and it appears to be right in the way of where a resonator can be mounted. I am planning on cutting off the strap and re-bending it then re-mounting it to give me more room for a resonator.
Can anyone with a TTi/Challenger/tailpipe give me a dimension from where the strap is welded onto the top of the pipe, forward to the bend? I am trying to figure out what the dimension is of the straight section from the bend to this bracket.
Note: I just purchased my TTi exhaust kit yesterday but it won't be delivered for a little while.

Thanks

Do yourself a favor and dump the TTI clamps, these work much better.
RockAuto has them

I use the band clamps on my existing exhaust and I agree that they are a much better setup.

Thanks for the reply!

I finally got my TTi 2.5" X-Pipe and tail pipes along with the Max Flow Mufflers. The Max Flow's are 1/2" longer than the Dynamax mufflers that TTi designs the system too, but the MF's fit just fine after some modifications to the x-pipe. I just had to trim the X-pipe length a bit and I had to move the TTi muffler clamps around to find the best fit. I like the design of these brackets which allows the muffler heigth to be moved up and down and the rubber mounts allow for the muffler to move left and right for more clearance. I will add pictures later once I have the resonators installed.

I have got to put this out there by saying that the TTi x-pipe is very well made! I am using the TTi headers and I was able to mount the x-pipe so that it is right on center to the drive shaft. With the mufflers installed, there is just enough clearance between these mufflers to get the drive shaft out in the future when required.

Note 1: These Max Flow mufflers are 1/2" wider than the Dynamax mufflers which puts them closer together in the middle of the car.
Note 2: I am using the TTi 5 degree angled 2.5" header reducers which help aim the pipes up closer to the underneath side of the body.

Now that I have the x-pipe and the mufflers/brackets aligned and tight, the mufflers are snug against the bottom of the car and look great! TTi did a great jot of making these parts fit the car. I was worried about ground clearance, but now after seeing the mufflers installed, I will not have a problem.
