Are different clips used for the front and back windows?
Also, will the clips be different between models, say like a Charger and a Coronet?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Jim

The clips are different. Some early 68 cars have different clips than the later clips. I found out the hard way on that. I had to get the windshield pulled out just to change the clips. Call Tom at R/T specialties. It is best to have your old clips in hand to be sure. Or you could order both.

I had that happen to me ... the hard way. The lower trim on the windshield clips stuck out to far and shame on me for not fit checking before installing the window. NOT an easy fix.

I have the original clips from my 68 Coronet R/T but thought I would just order some new ones. However I can't seem to find new clips for the rear window so I thought maybe they would be the same as the Charger.
Y'all have shed some light on other possible issues and I appreciate it.

I would call Tom. He should have them. I have only done 68 Charger and 70 Superbird rear windows.

See, I told you he would know. I bought the short ones for the Charger and needed the longer ones. Could not even hardly see the clips to snap in the molding.

Thanks Tom.
I'll match up what I have with the pictures you posted and be in touch.

My car had these longer clips on the bottom probably due to having an early build date.
Anyway, I placed an order today. Thanks for your help.

What is considered an early build date? My Coronet was built Nov. 1967. I know that is about when the new models hit the dealerships but how long before that do they start producing them?

My car was built in the St. Louis plant. I will get back to you with the sequence number. I am at work and don't have access to it right now. Yes, at work on Moparts. What a night!

Mine was also a St. Louis car so it will be interesting to see if they ran through about the same time.
I believe the sequence numbers were issued for every car that went through the plant that day and were not model specific.
