My 71 has the cowl and core number but they are one number off, car is 1G223XXX and the body is 1G123XXX both the same, car is what it claims to be. It's an N code car so would have been no need to go to the trouble of faking. I now factory errors occurred and have heard they generally would be the same number throughout once the gun/punch was set. Is there a number on the trunk rail like earlier B bodies (I didn't look yet) or is it somewhere else?
Thanks, Kevin
