What is the complete part number for a 340 4 speed 1970 carb... and what is the price for an average working carb? THX

It's an AVS Carter and the part number starts with an EO and then four unknown numbers

not sure when exactly they went from the AVS to the TQ (mid 70?) but I'm thinking yours is still an AVS. I would wait for Scottsmithharms to see this or Google is one hell of a tool.

1970 model year 340 w/manual transmission used a CARTER AVS 4bbl:
#3462968 model 4933S
#3462971 model 4936S w/E.C.S. (CA cars w/N95 - "Emission Control System)

"E0" would be the date: "E" = May & "0" = 1970 (date & model are stamped on RH forward mounting "foot")

If the carb has its original tag it will have:
last 2 digits of the Chrysler part number ("68" or "71")
CARTER's model number
& a 4 digit date (3 digit day of year & single digit year)

. 1970 was the last year for the AVS on 340's, Thermo-Quads took over in 1971. Value varies (A LOT!) generally speaking a complete on WITH an idle stop solenoid will run around $200.00-$250.00 but Ive seen then a lot higher and a lot lower, its a real crap shoot

Plus if it's a 4 speed it should have the dashpot bracket, dashpot itself can be found or others made to work.
