lakewood or quicktime?
I use hyd setup so z bar alignment is of no importance.
Sb 130 tooth flywheel.
Had a lakewood but it flexes (small amount) when pressing clutch.
Is quicktime stronger?
Thanks

Browell makes one similar to the lakewood, but his quality is by far better. PM me if you need a price. Mike

What is flexing? I mean, dayum, it's 100% plate steel. Can't imagine what would be flexing.

And if there is flexing, I would think the issue is somewhere else.

Just my .00000000000019 cents.

Yes the whole bell flexes so the transmission mobes away from the motor when pressing the clutch. Cant see that thf issue would be anywhere else.
Its only a very small amount but i can see it.

If the trans is moving away from the bell housing you have some OTHER issue. There should not be enough force just overcoming plate load to move or flex anything.

What would that be?
When i first saw it i also noted that it was missing a couple of the million bolts. Installed those and it got better but not perfect.

I have a Quicktime behind my big block and it seems to be a nice piece. The runout was with in spec out of the box, no offset dowels required on my install. I have a 10" McLeod soft-lok and the counter-weights have only .100" clearance to the bell. 10.5" or bigger probably won't work. Make sure your clutch will fit it.

The supplied Z-bar bracket required strengthening as it bent over under the stress. Added two more gussets, cured the problem. Obviously not an issue with you're hydraulic TB.

Thanks. Im leaning against the quicktime because they appear smaller witch is a very good thing in an abody.
Thinking about getting a mcleod rxt clutch so it should fit with ease. Think its 9,7".
Only downside i see with it is the lower rotating weight and my car is heavy so i believe it needs the weight to get of the line.
