That's what they do with ANYTHING stock in the 3rd members. I saw a high 11 second Mustang do the same thing with a 289 and a 4spd.

The title of the video lists the car as a Monza, which puts it likely late 70s, early 80s body. Plus, the under chassis shot of this car appears to be a pretty old 2x3 rectangular tube piece. Been a long time since people mounted shocks that way. At one time the Olds rears were very popular. Betting the car was built a long time ago

Yea, I noticed the welds and amount of run out in the shaft at the yoke
