That's what they do with ANYTHING stock in the 3rd members. I saw a high 11 second Mustang do the same thing with a 289 and a 4spd.

That's not a 9" Ford.............no bolt in front pinion retainer. Looks to possibly be an Olds center

looks to be a back half/ladder/4-link car why would one go through the trouble an install a Pontiac/olds rear is beyond me

I'm wondering what exactly he was looking for that made him train a camera directly on the center section...??? If he was looking for pinion angle changes it seems other viewpoints would have been better.

Was checking out one of the factory built drag racing challengers ( v-10 ) and mopar built it with a ford 9".

The title of the video lists the car as a Monza, which puts it likely late 70s, early 80s body. Plus, the under chassis shot of this car appears to be a pretty old 2x3 rectangular tube piece. Been a long time since people mounted shocks that way. At one time the Olds rears were very popular. Betting the car was built a long time ago

They were watching the shocks. Personally I think it's time to do a full do over, on the backhalf of the car.

Yea, I noticed the welds and amount of run out in the shaft at the yoke
