There is a youtube interview with CWJr, at just after the 5 minute mark, he tells you WHY he went dorf.

Sad but true.

I'm going to stop now or I will spew out bad things about ma mopar and I don't want the verbal bashing. Ma has F'd up again as I have no doubt this guy has serious, mad, outrageous, God given talent. What a waste. Short sighted, idiotic, corporate ding bat...........dang I gotta stop.....

Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston

So Dodge didn't want to "give" him anything and he didn't want to buy anything. They have 2 Pro Stockers already and I bet their days are numbered too. He is smart and going with a Ford is smart for him. Pro Stock is a N/A Funny car class already and nothing on those cars translates to selling more parts or cars for anyone. And NHRA is a political S*** storm for all involved.

Mopar to the bone!!!

Personally I think he should have gone with Chebbie but who knows maybe he will do better than L. Morgan.

he made a major mistake. Even if he does get it to run good there are no more parts being made. He should have went with a drce3 in a gm.

I agree with Bigtime, the wescotts made a huge mistake going with that ford venture, they must have more money than we realize because they're gonna need it

but if he goes ford that will allow him to "massage" the parts to his liking without comparison..... I think we saw what he did with the HEMI head and the disappearing valve cover rail.

cw obviously has a plan, mopar wouldnt give him anything, but ford wouldnt give morgan so much as a free bolt.there must be a lucrative incentive hiding in there somewhere, but then again he did all the r&d for the hemi for just a few races a year and didnt get rich there either.i personally think he lives and breathes to find horsepower anywhere he can.maybe he is really bob glidden with a makeover....

He paid for his Ford stuff , but probably less than 13 k for a block and heads.
I don't get the impression he is going to run the class full time......at least not to start.
I think he sees a challenge and is out to conquer it.
His comment about virtually everyone else in the class today was telling.

McGaha went to a Chevy because Ma Mopar wouldn't give him anything too. Wonder what Chevy has done for him?

Sorry, but I am fairly certain Mopar doesn't freely give stuff away. They barely gave Allen Johnson anything until his program was really doing fairly well. Kinda like a bank, to get a loan you have to prove you don't need it. I watched a buddy of mine go bankrupt with a P/ST because he was sure as a lifelong Mopar racer Mopar would help him out at least with some parts. After 2 years they did give him 1 bare block and 1 pair of bare head castings.

CW went with Ford because once Cunningham passed it became pretty much worthless. Morgan said he couldn't sell his stuff last year, nobody would touch it.

CW I think will do pretty well. His claim was that too much money in a P/S program goes for the extras like flying crewmen around, huge haulers, and such. Time will tell.

All the operating obstacles of PS are dollar related. When he shows, even once that he can run with, or faster than the pack, the flood gates of money will open. Whether it's Ford, Mopar, or Toyota, who cares. He can put that port in any PS casting.

Which port? The one from his HEMI program?

Very interesting. I like his take on the money. There was a very smart guy on here who once said "You can race on a budget if you learn to do it yourself." This bears that out.
I always thought Roy did a lot in house for AJ and Jeggie, but maybe I'm wrong....

It may be ugly, but it sure is slow.

Yes they have, but they have/make some Mopar stuff that the others do not have or know how to make/build!
If he is going to Pro Stock Racing I could understand the switch to Chevy, but to ford.........

I dont understand why it costs 13k for a block and heads that they should have available to anyone that wants to buy them anyway.

Good luck to CW.
