I recently bought a buddy seat for my "B" body 1972 Road Runner. While at the swap meet I found a almost perfect condition buddy seat but it's not the same as the (70?) (71 thru 74) buddy seats. It's narrower to the rear and thinner overall. The seller said it came out of a Duster (71?) and that it fit an A-body?
I've only seen a-bodies with: buckets with console shift (auto only?) or bench with fold down center armrest built in.
Enlighten me on the availability of buddy seats for A-body 70 thru 74 cars? Rare? Uncommon?

Here are a few photos.

Left is a smooth vinyl texture b-body buddy seat 73-74 with pigtail for seat belt warning?
Center is rougher vinyl texture b-body buddy seat 71-72.
Right is the a-body buddy seat (years?) smooth vinyl texture with brackets.
It's narrower and much less wide at the rear.

Dart S/E's and Valiant Bro-ham's had buddy seats. About 74-76. Mostly velvet cloth type interiors.

Might even offered in F-bodies. I think the 75 B-bodies offered them too? Even C-bodies too? Lots of possibilities.

Not offered originally in a 71 Duster (A-body) in North America.

I've never heard of an a-body buddy seat option.

I found an image of the 68-70 b-body buddy seat and the hinge is different than the 71-74 b-body seats

Being that this is much narrower I'm thinking it has to be a-body?
Underside with brackets, looks similar but not the same as the b-body brackets.

Looks a little like this one. But this one's front bracket look different. I think this one pictured is broken. But I can't really confirm.

That looks like a match but this seat does not have the pigtail plug-in for a seat beat buzzer.
Was that a 73 on up thing?

Here is the buddy seat in my 75 Dart SE.

Maybe it's too small to be considered a seat and just called an armrest??

does Rhinodarts have a buzzer? Can the buzzer be removed and not show remnants of ever being installed?

Looks like it just clips on, though the 71-72 seats never had them.
Here is the picture from your post/link.

Mine doesn't look like one was ever on there?
Where these 73-75 only?

I thought seat belt interlock was '74 only.

Wouldn't seat belt buzzer be an option? So not every car get it?
