I've done them before, just plastic, peel off very slowly as not to tear up the vinyl headrest, the "repros" are just chrome body side moulding with 2 way tape

I used a hair dryer to warm things up a bit. Just take your time and be patient.

The hair dryer didn't work on mine. For the most part they come off pretty easy but if your's are like mine there might be some spots where they added some kind of glue. Especially on the ends. After trying to get them off using suggestions from here and other sites I finally stopped at the local hobby shop and picked up some wood chisels. One was curved almost exactly like the bottom of the chrome strip. Using that and an xacto razor and working it slow ensuring not to take too much of the head rest itself I finally got them off. I did have a couple spots where the glue made small holes in the headrest so I used shoe goo to fill them in and trimmed that down to match the channel the chrome strip goes in. What ever you do the vinyl of the headrest tears easy. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the tips. The hair dryer worked well on some parts of head rest. I finished the really stuck sections with a dremmel tool. They came off without damaging the vinyl Thanks a bunch
