What mods need to be done?
i have one of those and had to dress the splines a little bit to get it to slide on a stock shaft.
fwiw i believe the wonderful nhra states any QR adapter must be welded. of course there's only a bazillion cars out there with the steering wheel bolted on. maybe it would be ok if they required an nhra approved steering wheel tether at $200 a copy

I bolted the quick release to back of the steering wheel. The portion that stays on the column. I had welded to the orignal nut down inside the can. Cut a slot for the button (wich I extended) to poke out I used a 72-74 e body steering wheel only so I could mount my trans brake button Also used a t style male/female wire connection out of a old wire harness so the wheel could be moved freely when not driving
