I have the opportunity to pick up a 6.4 hemi short block for a new project of mine which is a 69 superbee.

The 6.4 belongs to a good friend of mine and he wants rid of it to build a world aluminum hemi.

At any rate I have some questions:

Can I use any other heads than a 6.4 hemi? In other words am I stuck with looking for these heads or can I look for any gen 3 hemi head?

Are cams available for this engine?

How can I get rid of the MDS system?

Can I get a msd hemi 6 ignition to work with this engine? Change reluctor ring?

Are the crank rods and pistons worth keeping?

What is the best way to carburate this engine?

I know I have alot of questions but I can't seem to find much information out there. If someone can help me clarify all this I would appreciate it.

By the way- this engine will be built for the street and maybe once in a while strip.

The ONLY genuinely efficient eay to carb induct a G3 Hemi is to run the Drag Pack intake.

All the others either have too much angle in the runner system , the runners are too short or the plenums are too large for effecient fuel distribution.

If you do carb induct it - the MSD6013 ignition system is ideal for controllimg spark, MAP advance and offers other features like rpm limiter and a two step function...even an idle " smoother".
