I've been just using lots of carb cleaner. Is there anything that is safe to soak them in?


Yeah, it's got a smallblock.

I use lacquer thinner.............

I`ve never see an issue w/it so far and I just soak em in a stainless pan.............

How long do you soak them for? I was thinking 2-3 hours should soften any deposits

Long enuff to soften the crappy gaskets..............get Superformance carb gaskets and never scrape again.
