Eric Jones at Jones Engine Development is very knowledgeable, has a engine dyno, flow bench etc, has been doing alot of Mopar Stock and Super Stock engines and has alot of experience in nitrous assisted engines, his number is 661-942-3364. And Pettis Performance has a great reputation as well, I don't have his number handy.

Hi Guys, Any recommendations? Would prefer in the Southern California area
Could you give more details on what you are looking to do? HP, ET goals?
Competitive, street, specific class racing, super stock, small block, big block, turbo, PSCA...
There are tons of capable shops in So Cal. So much so, if you have a specific project there are people that specialize.
There are also places that are complete overkill $$$ for certain projects.

Jason Pettis, Eric Jones(Jones Engine Developemet), QMP, or Dustin Lee(DLRE) are all top notch builders. I also have a good one in the Phoenix area as well. I have used all of them for either myself or customer stuff and been very happy.

Try IMM Engines, Chino,CA. Great reputation and woth a phone call. So Cal Shops list is impressive and they can make horsepower but general vibe is close to 'be ready to refinance Your house'. Like the others,.. what HP range are You looking at? What Class You want to run?? Remember the old Speed = Money equation. If You are up in the north; Don Little, Steve Wann, Mopar Engines West, Riolo Engines Sac,.. lots of shops too. Longshot, Try CAB,.. He knows His stuff. On and On Good Luck

QMP. Everybody would be shocked on just how many other engine builders go to QMP to get there machine work done. Brad and Mike are at the top of the heap when it come to knowledge and experience.
....there is nothing like driving my 1968 Hemi Dart around town and having people looking at you like you're nuts!!

Another vote for Brian and his Dad at Indio Motor Machine (IMM). Brian sat me down and discussed my goals and budget first before anything else. I'm really happy with my engine and experience and highly recommend them.
The engine was dyno'ed and been fired in the car but clutch linkage issues have kept me from driving it or track time.

Thanks guys, for the suggestions, not looking for a race motor, thinking about a 440 crank & rods in my 383 block.. Just want a nice street motor
Give Brian a shout at IMM.... this build would be right up his alley and he and his dad are great to work with. He recently finished up my W8 build.
