As I work on my dyno mule today (440 testing Sidewinder heads), I had a couple of carb bowl screws strip out. I had been using the blue " non stick" gaskets and had torn some of the coating off of a couple spots doing jet changes.
Trying to tighten the bowl screws to get rid of a leak pulled the threads
After doing some heli-coil repairs and installing the new Superformance 4150 kit, no more leaks!
I do have a complaint though, now I need three hands to do a jet change since pulling the bowl screws causes the metering block and fuel bowl to fall off. No more prying needed!
Thanks for another great product Greg!

I hear ya about needing three hands to access carb. A side note; those screw in jet extensions have been tested and proven by some bad dogs to be a restriction especially in the 80-90`s jet ranges. Also, a jet doesn`t want to be at the end of a of an extension but rather the extension AFTER the jet............also proven so I make 1" long 11/32 extensions out of hobby shop copper tubing then cut one end w/a tubing cutter and the other w/a cut-off wheel so the jet can slip inside but seal againtsed the block from the swedge from the tubing cutter. VERY stable wfo fuel curve..............try it!

Thanks I'll give that a try! The day I quit trying things will be the day I quit learning new things!

I hear ya and these aren`t opinions or guesses but bad azz lab and dyno testing kinda like low fuel pressures and bigger N&S`s.........Fun stuff.
