I would buy all the dana 60's I could get as pictured in your original post for $350.00 at my door. You might ask for a picture with the inspection cover off to get a better idea of what is inside if possible. But it being a car unit the housing and axles are worth well more than the $350.00 so I would get the deal done and take a chance on it.

I bought the Dana 60-2 that I narrowed for my D100 for $400.00 in 2010. It had been rebuilt with a PowerLock carrier. 4.10 gears, 35 spline axles, set 7 Timken tapered bearings, 12" drum brakes with 5 on 5.5" pattern (all stock). Since then, I took it all apart and I welded the tubes to the case. Then I had one tube and axle shortened 6" and the axle resplined by a 4x4 shop that jig welded it back together for $400.00. I put it back together with new seals and a new 1310 yoke for another $200.00 in parts. This gives me a Dana 60 that fits my truck (with 16" wheels) with the best OEM LSD carrier and a desirable gear set. It is also the right size to fit an A-body (with 16" wheels, 5 on 5.5" pattern)

I have yet to install it in the truck...I keep waiting for the 8.25" to give up

A Dana 60-2 is found in Jeep Gladiator pickups. There was one wasting away in my old neighborhood in Kirkland and there is one for sale in Graham right now. They are out there

66-72 F-100s also had Dana 60s as an option if a locking diff was wanted. 5 on 5 1/2" and power lock, (or trac loc) but no snubber.
