I have a 1972 dart with 440. The engine has the stock intake and valve covers. I am tired of it looking like poop under the hood and want to make it more mean and nice looking. Anyone know what valve covers and intake will fit? I know with the 440 you have limited clearance for the valve covers because of the heater blower motor and limited clearance on the intake also because it can cause the breather to hit the hood..
I really like the finned mopar performance valve covers but if i remember right they wont clear the blower motor. I dont want just plain chrome stock covers.

I don't have any pics on laptop to show. On a '69 dart I built back in the day with a 440 I was able to slot the mounting hole for the blower. This moved the blower closer to the fender. There was enough room inside of heater box for fan clearance. I was able to use M/T finned v/c.

What headers are those? I am looking to upgrade from the ProParts I have on my Cuda to a better flowing header and was curious what the ones in your pic are? Hookers, Headman ect...

Two simple updates:

Change upper radiator hose to smooth type.

Change air cleaner or perhaps just get a lid that you can put a stock pie tin on.

Not a fan of fenderwell headers but not much you can do there since fenderwells are already cut.

EDIT: Also, respray top of radiator black and take stickers off battery.

Also, maybe relocate ECU to core support or under battery tray? OK, I'm done.

something else that bothers me is how close the master cylinder is to the header. It makes me afraid to go very far from home with it thinking the heat may kill it..what do i do to move the ECU and voltage regulator, just cut off the harness and extend the wire?
