A guy had listed in the A-body parts for sale some light weight hood hinge springs for a fiberglass hood. He had them listed forever but now is not listed. I checked Sept. listings and no dice. Anyone know of him or where I can get some?
Thanks

I got mine at a junkyard I think I took them off a Daytona and they worked very well.

Cool but I walk a lot of yards and them K-cars are getting hard to find. Course I haven't really been looking for them but just don't see many.

Probably a better term to mention these springs could be: "A light tension spring for a lightweight hood".
I was thinking lightweight as in actual weight of the spring. LOL.

Ya my terminology could be better but I did state for a fiberglass hood which is light weight.

"sometimes" a worn out gas cylinder from a late model ?????? hood could be used if you can fab up the proper ball/stud mounts. you might check into small ricecar hoods for those. those hoods don't weigh much especially if they are aluminium or composit.

ok I just talked to AtomicDog and he still has them. For 55.00 to my door I can't see wondering the yards or fabbing up a different setup.
Many thanks for your help.
Now if I could just find a decent hood.

Any window crank spring will work(70 up cuda and challenger work the best) a-bodys are a little stronger. Havn't tried b-body. I wonder where this guy gets them?
