The nature of a four link install almost makes a full on tub job make more sense. It could certainly be done , but to get optimum length bars and angles I think the back seat is a goner.......and as long as you are in that deep , why not stuff some meat back there. I am wrestling with that decision for my A body and the least painful would be ladder bars. I will exhaust a bit more effort on the leafs , but getting them to hook consistently is looking like a problem. If I do go four link , I will also go big tire.

Not as adjustable as a full 4 link but better than a ladder bar.

Not my car, just random internet pics. I plan to use this set-up on my Dakota. A few people on YB think rather highly of the Ultralink. It was appealing to me, takes about the same amount of real estate as a ladder bar but offers more adjustment options, more could be had by redesigning the brackets.

I'm assuming this is mainly a street car. Why not Mini-Tub and leaf springs? Works well on the street and good for low 10 second ET's. Ladder bars work excellent in this venue but aren't as street friendly. But they would allow you to keep the back seat.

by the way, this car will see mostly street duty and an occasional trip down the strip...the engine is a 499 rebuilt to run on 93 pump gas ..big HP and torque..shouldn't weigh more than 2800lbs due to acid dipped fenders and doors and being completely gutted..plus the use of Chrome Moly Steel for cage, suspension and other structural pieces...

Yes a 4-link can be driven on the street, but for the slight ajustability advantage, it may not be worth sacrificing the better ride of the leaf springs.
A consideration for a "street car" is a triangulated 4 link, similar to a G body or a Mustang. I actually have that under a Challenger. I used Mustang type arms with urethane ends and the end can turn. Built custom brackets. The triangulated bar eliminate the need for a locator or a wishbone. With a good shock, the ride is 10 times better than buggy springs and at the track, a 4 bar is a 4 bar
