Need one for a smallblock.. has to be decently built so I can move it around, maybe even move it to the garage. Leary of the ones from summit, look too cheap.

Get a shopping cart. They work perfectly with a little fab work.

Don't you have a couple in your front yard out by the bus stop?

I have made a couple .. using 1"X 1" square tubing and
a few pieces of 1/8" flat stock.. takes all of 15 min
to weld it up... I just sent one to Australia with a
engine on it... no problems... the ones I have in the
shop have wheels on them

I bought one from Summit and it works GREAT but I don't take it offroading. I do a few laps in the shop once in awhile.

I made the steel part of mine BUT I bought a couple
of the cheapo furniture dollies from harbor freight

I used to make them but I got tired of doing it. They take a lot of time and nobody seemed too excited about paying me what they cost to make.

This. I have 2 small blocks sitting on a like cradle now. $30 and 20 minutes time maybe. I also have a Summit one someone gave me. It's okay especially if your transporting but NO WAY would I ever pay the $70+ dollars that they list for.

Yep Me too...

Build stuff lots stouter than the summit/all star POS and people want you to match the price. No thank you.

i agree, they're a great source for an engine dolly. you don't have to steal the hole thing, just everything below the basket & it fits in the trunk easier. 2 mins with a battery powered saber saw or grinder & you've left the scene. live a little

Well if your gonna do that you might as well get one of
the gummer chair ones(electric) and cut it up.. but
it would be motorized for easy moving... LOL
