I agree about the age. It is a problem
I usually have 2-3 cars set up being dailys so if one has a problem I can jump into another

This does make sense but what folks don't know is that I have 5 or 6 other modern cars (less than 10 years old) that I wouldn't get rid of just because I got an older daily driver. If I ever get tired of older car or don't want to drive it in the snow I can always take one of the modern cares that just sit around.

same here.
I often have a classic winter Mopar beater (an old rustbucket), too but if there is really snow and salt out there I use the Mercedes from my girlfriend

I agree on a 66-67 B-body. Nice trim cars with great visibility, less rattles than the later cars and everyone hates them so they are cheaper, you can get a great looking 2DRHT too.

66-67 DODGES are cheap, the Plymouths not so much and they make great cars. I drove the snot out of 67 coronet. 3182bbl car. You could probably pick up a running driving non-rust bucket for under $3500.

If you can find a decent one get a 68-72 B body wagon.

I paid $175 for a 64 Polara just like this one.
Drove it for 10 years, ran fine with an old style
318 2bbl and did 18-20 mpg. 4 door was ok
but I wish it was a wagon. Sold it for $500, wish I would of kept that one.

Snap your neck, mega G-force launch, is all I want!

Lot of good ideas here. Sounds like the answer to my original question (will a late 60's drive as well as a early 70's?) is 'yes' so that should expand my options.

Still would like a '71-'74 Charger (most likely have disc brakes and A/C) but I really like the '68-'70 B bodies and even the '66-'67 B bodies as well. I'm not sure I'm ready for an A body or C body for a daily driver just yet.

I come out in the mornings and choose which one I drive. I have Hagerty with agreed value, I set the mileage such that I can rotate them and specified for erands as well. I clarified that parts run , Wal-mart and softball games all fell under erands. I don't work in town so I don't have to worry about driving it back in forth to work. I do have a Dakota for bad weather days but other than that I drive something old everyday (the 2 weeks I'm in town) and have pretty much my whole life (49). Even my dually is an 88 Square body with a quadrojet and a turbo 400. Use to do it with PIP but have gotten wiser in my later years, maybe. Many are non-power, none have A/C or overdrive. My current build is a 71 Charger 500 N code car for the highway to run between here and PA, it's an A/C car and will get power brakes.

Why not consider a late B? Someone mentioned a/c? Bought this for $1500, 318 w/working air, fun and easy driver. Parts are also (unless you wreck it) readily available. And get lost of attention too.
