Buddies trying to install my new bullet cam in my A8 block and is having trouble with the install. Anyone can help please let me know ASAP. Georgia is a week away.
2010 Toxic Orange Challenger built by B and B Racecars! All aluminum R4/P5 engine, Proformance TH400 (3 speed) tranny, full Reid case, nodular 9" rearend, full Dragpak suspension, Protorque custom converter, BS3, PTE 85mm turbo, fire core wires, carbon doors, carbon front clip, and a whole lot more!

I set the crank at the number you want(as in 108) and then set the lifter to the max then slide on the gears then check it at the valve and move it if needed

That is like a duh! Why didn't I think of that way to get right in the ballpark first time sprocket goes on. Gonna do that on my 6.1 in a couple weeks.

The guy was playing with a gear drive so they dont run any dots... thats the same that I run(gear drive) and I found that the easiest way

Yeah even with dots you could do what you said and still save a bunch time. Like those 9 key way crank sprockets, ive had to spend HOURS trying to get those to come in 2-3 degrees advanced.

When the guy called me back he said he was within a 1/2 and 1 degree on the first shot.. he was happy... he had others telling him all sorts of stuff of setting it at 119 as setting the cam at something... he was lost
