Noticed the odd wear pattern on the RF of my '06 2500 4x4 CTD. Obviously a ball joint or wheel bearing. Any known problem with this? Probably jack it up tomorrow to check it out. Any preference on parts? Thanks,
Tim

They use a sealed unit bearing on the front. Its sold as a complete unit, they can be a pain to replace if they have seized.
They are a known wear item, especially if you run a larger than stock tire.

Haven't had a chance to check it yet (being retired is great ). Quote:
Arent those solid axle front ends? If so there must be some sort of bent component.
Still has BJs and a unit wheel bearing.

Stock tires (except for a brief time when I had some 285 Muds on it). From what I've been able to find, it can be either BJs or the wheel bearing assembly. Neat video on youtube about how to push the hub out.
