On my car, when it would spin it does it right at the hit. Even waiting .1 sec was too late to save it.
You want to use the Pink wire and tie it to the Dark Blue wire of the transbrake. The dark blue wire alone has to wait 0.1sec to initiate the timing retard, so it may be too late for the spin (it was on mine anyway). You want to instead pull timing while it's on the brake, and ramp it back in on release.
Every car is different, so you're going to have to play around with it. I suggest trying shock/2step changes before you jump to taking power out, as it will make the car slower by taking the power out.
