dmking OP enthusiast D Joined: Apr 2011 Posts: 319 jonestown,pa	has anyone used utf (universal tractor fluid)and if so which brand what is realistic? i am wanting to lower my flash rpms to see if my car likes a tighter converter before taking it out for the restall. i added timing to the car and it seemed to bump the flash up 200 rpms and i was wondering what it would be like to get it down to 5300 or so.

With the timing your making more torque so the stall went up... I cant say about the trans oil. I try to go up normally

I've yet to use the stuff, going to start with the std. viscosity in my new TH400/Griner brake/7" combo right from the start and see how it goes. Hearing that the Hy-Guard handles heat better than type F, but I'm not recommending it at this point, just passing on what my converter guy had to say.

I run low vis and it didn't really change my stall at all. I run 100% hy-guard even drained conv when I switched. It raised mine maybe 100-200 rpm, you can buy low vis hy guard and it will lower your stall. Brett Miller W9 cnc'd heads STR Chassis fabraction
