Is there a good source for Dual quad TR air cleaners? Its not a full blown race car, want it to look nice, but not frilly, not sure I want to invest the time to do my own billet, etc. solution. Or just get a suitable top and filter, and make my own base plate? Ctr to Ctr on carbs is 9", and Dia is 4 15/16-5"

The biggest question I always run into is "How much hood clearance do I have?" That dictates what I run for air-cleaners. No hood, velocity stacks. Right now my Dart has about 1.75" of clearance. I put two ~6" round air-cleaners on top with an allen bolt down through to hold them fast. Now I have about .25" clearance between my scoop and air-cleaner. Plus they were cheap....

With my hood scoop and that its an EFI TR, making the throttle bodies kinda short, hood clearance should not be one of my issues, I hope.

Get you some radio speaker covers they come in all sizes.Drill you a hole in the center and use a bolt to hold them in place. With an engine running a tunnel ram I am sure you will not be driving it off road or even dirt so they will be just fine as they will not allow anything other than dust to enter your carbs.and they look nice as well.

PS you can get them at any stereo shop and best of all they are cheap. The man at the end of the street give me a set off some old speakers he had replaced with up-graded speakers.

If center to center is 9" I think you will have to just use a pair of 7" air cleaners. K & N makes 7" ones. I put a pair of velocity stacks and 5" tall 9" diameter cleaners (lots of dust here from the roads and Africa along with salt) on our 452 so not exactly what you are looking for. On the Weiand tunnel rams for big blocks the center to center is about 9.75" so you can use 9" cleaners. The K & N website does have a sizing formula on their website which helps. Double check the size of the ring on your throttle bodies, Holley 4150 carbs are 5-1/8 for the air cleaner mount I believe so if your throttle bodies are that size it greatly enlarges your choice of filters off the shelf. Otherwise make a mold and start laminating based upon what is readily available in oval cleaners. Good luck.

I think the speaker cover option presented will do nothing to filter anything this side of birds and small children and there is dirt and dust everywhere all of which hurts your engine.

Summit link to 7" round options:

The filter elements come in 2" and 3" heights so the overall height is around 3" and 4" respectively.

I have several different tunnel rams, ones with a set of Holley 1000 HP 4150 carbs and the other has a set of Holley 1050 Dominators. Both sets of carbs. are mounted sideways and both( one pair is 4 inches tall and the other has five inch tall elements ) have K&N 9 inch air cleaners with the 9 inch Extreme lids and wraps The third tunnel ram has a set of Rons Terminator throttle body mounted in line but I have not tried mounting any air cleaners on it yet Use the biggest in diameter and tallest in hieght that you can use or fit
