2000 concorde lxi 3.2.Car kept dying goe code p0320 from the key.My haynes manual says crankshaft position sensor. We bought a new one from advance auto and repaced it.( major hassle because it broke before it came out)-noe we are getting the same set of problems and codes. It will die as it warms up.Any ideas could it be a bad sensor or could something else be making it die. Please help we are desparate.

Are you sure your timing belt is ok?

My sons concorde did that, Then eventually called up the cam sensor. The sensors are basically prox sensors the pulley/gear have a gap in them both, the crank and the cam(Iknow there are two cams) The idea is both of these sense the gap in the gear at the same time indicating your timing belt is ok.

We had to change the belt. Not a terrible job. There are marks on the gear to line everything up. Hopefully yours is something else. But your belt maybe streching/wearing.

Good luck

Sounds like a crank sensor issue.
Do yourself a favor and get a mopar one. Don't waste your time with the aftermarket junk.
Cam and crank sensors seem to be very common troubles.

I had a similar issue but it was the cam sensor. Turned out to be the alternator.

Personally I would try a new cam sensor and see what happens first.

Also, how are you getting the codes?? Cheap scanner or are you doing the "key dance"???

I am getting the codes by the key.I found a broken ground strap on that side of the motor.I cannot figure out where it goes .There are 2 ground straps that come off the frame. One goes to the cylinder head. The other one I cant figure out where it goes.Any ideas?Could this be the problem?

The strap is probably not related, and goes to steel bracket on side of head. Pass side, no?

One strap goes to the head. The other strap goes to the engine cradle by the strut rod.The battery terminals wre all jacked up-could not have been getting a good connection.I replaced both battery ends.
