I was shorted two clips for the rear window. I won't name names but I am frustrated.
Glass guy is coming tomorrow. Could I move one from the center top two and put it on the bottom? Then have one on the center top, and one center bottom?
Thanks

Also, do you tighten the clip screws down the whole way? When they are the clips are sprung TIGHT against the body. Probably why I mangled the trim when I took it off!

There is an art to trim removal on Mopars. Do you have any of the old clips that are still good? I have at least 2 old clips that look like they were made a year ago. But you should probably reschedule your glass install until you get them in all tightened down securely.
They guy who installed my glass said the trim needs to go on at the same time the glass is glued in to make sure it all sets at the right depth and is all level and all that.
I watched him do the job with his son. There is an art to installing the glass correctly too. Plus, I had the vinyl top to deal with.

Thanks for the info, and yes, I totally agree. Glass is installed. Done. The guy had a bucket of old auto clips and had two extra. He did a great job and does a lot of older cars. It could not have went better, trim on and everything.

Were all the clips the same around the window?
My 71 Dart will be getting painted soon and I thought that some clips were rectangle and some square....Maybe that was for the front window??
Glad it went well!
All the clips around the rear window are the same. There are 4 clips that are different on the front. Two on each side up the A pillar. There are three total on each side. I put the two different ones in the top two positions.
Demon... pics to come soon. I took it out for the first time, first stop gas station, and then "around the block". It sounds pretty rowdy and has the look and feel I was going for. I need to do something to calm the exhaust down and some work on the cooling system. It seems at speed it is having trouble keeping cool but I need to curve the distributor and do some carb work. I didn't hammer on it with a brand new rear, clutch, etc.
