Anyone one have any experience with Quarter Panels from JC Whitney? Everything I have read about the quarter panels sold now is that they all come from the same manufacture. I was wondering if anyone has dealt with sheetmetal from JCW and if they are the same as what Yearone or Paddock sells?http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/ItemB...021575210337874

I've bought some sheetmetal from them for my truck but not a car. I will say that the sheetmetal I bought from them for my Powerwagon was EXCELLENT (and made in the USA!). I can't say the same for the lower quarters I bought for my Charger from Year One.

Be careful what you order. Some of the panels are listed as "universal". You don't want those.

Tried to get 69 C-body patch quarter, what they sent was for 68. MAJOR difference.

Some once told me the JC Whitney muscle car panels were "hand" formed from sheet metal, not die stamped, if so they would have to be GARBAGE!

My brother bought a pair of quarters from them for his '67 Cutlass(no other place to find them) and they were very poor quality.

I have always heard JC Whitney did not have that great of quarters, but no honest first hand experience. Sorry. I would go with known good sources.

about 15 years ago I bought some for a 70 E body barracuda and they were way off, I had to weld in some pieces,....in the rear valance panel especially, but I guess thats what you get for the price. I think..they were about 69$$ back then

My brother in law bought some for his 70 barracuda after I advised him I heard they weren't so good but no first hand experience. He bought them anyway, because he is kinda cheap and sure enough they were not right either. He sort of pointed it out to me when I was inspecting his work. I tried not to make much of it, cause I don't want to be "that" guy. Otherwise the rusty turd bucket he started with really is looking good.

Did you see the quarters for sale in the a-body parts section today? Dave

I purchased the quarter panel lower repair setions from JC Whitney for my '67 Fury convertible. I did so because I was on very limited budget. It took a lot of patience and trial and error fitting but in the end they really looked better that the badly rotted panels that I had. John
