is there ANYONE out there that repairs or has parts for these motors? The ones I have are in bad shape and need repaired or replaced. they are in a 64 sport fury.

the motors are supposed to be the same up to the late 80's.
the plug is different, but they should bolt up and work.

any electrical rebuild shop should be able to rebuild them, but the replacments are cheaper.

becareful replacing them though.
the arms are under spring tension and could hurt you. you need to pin the arm in a vice so it cannot unspring when you remove the motor.

The motors pretty much interchange.I used some from a %th Ave.On the arms I can attest to the springs.Had one pop and almost broke my hand.It needed stitches and couldnt move 2 fingers for over a week.Rocky

If this isn't a 100 point Pebble Beach trailer queen, the safest, easiest way to change them out is to drill a hole over each of the 3 bolts on the inside of the doors so you can get a 1/4 drive socket on them.

This does 2 things. It keeps the regulator clock spring captured so it can't cut off your arm and if you ever need to replace one again, it's a 5 minute job.

Dorman Part No. 742-300 left and 301 for right side if you want to go new.
