Well the car is finally off the Jig! As you can see it's sitting up a bit as there's no engine or trans in yet. I personally want the rear to come down a bit more than it is...so I'm hoping the leaf springs will settle a bit. The rear springs are Detroit Eaton with 1" extra lift...which might have been a mistake ...just not sure yet.

Roll Bar is coming out soon.

Pedal Assemblies are in, heater box is in, wiper arm mechanism is in, dash cage is in.

This wheel / tire combo is for the street, not the auction block, so no H code wheels yet. I had Stockton Wheel widen the rears to 8" with 4.5" BS and the fronts are 5.5, stock BS. Front tire size is 215/65/15, rears are MT 295/65/15.

Car has a 1/8" of dust on it...so no close ups yet.

Nice Looking!! If it looks that good with the dust on it now, it will be an eye blinder when cleaned up. LOL

Hey, I know that car!
It's been a long time since we delivered it, but it's looking good! Glad to see progress is being made.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I'm really stoked. Now that it's sitting down on its suspension, I'm even more motivated to finish her up. I have a lot to do but I'll get there. I'm currently working on the 440. The short block has been built for a while now. I'm working on heads and induction. Can't wait to install the engine and trans, and fire her up.

I still need to find a rebuildable front bench seat!

Looking good Dan! I like the old school stance and big and littles on it! I am not sure when I will be making it out, I hope soon. It will be great to see you and Kevin again!

Thanks Dave,

You think the paint has cured enough for polish and wax?

Hope to see you soon.

Dan,
What did you use on the bottom and on the black wheels for paint?
Very nice, maybe a taller front tire if it doesn't settle but looks awesome

We used a similar gray to the factory primer on the bottom. Then a low gloss clear coat was applied over the primer to help seal it.
The wheels are powder coated black. I agree that the front tires appear small, but we'll see how it all looks when the car is sitting with the complete drive-train in.
