I'm debating using 1" or a 1-1/2" re-locator kit by Dr.Diff. I've already spoken to him about the details of using either, but a picture says a 1000 words. Does anyone have pictures of a Challenger with either kit or know where I could view some

Thanks

Does anyone (Maybe Cass himself) have pics of the front hanger? I'm getting ready to install a Reilly Motorsports Street-Lynx setup, and I'm considering using offset front hangers to be able to use the full width of the wheel wells (on a Challenger). Is the 1" version enough, or should I go 1.5" (wheel wells are unmodified).

If the question is over 1/2" and inch, I would use the 1 1/2 relocation over the 1 inch just for the variences in the cars, floorpans, wheel wells....etc. I'm considering doing the change myself this winter.

I looking to this in the late spring. but with the 1.5 inch i would wonder if you have to mode the frame rail there was not a lot of room to get for the bolt head hmm i got to check that out when i get home today but if nothing has to be change and both have no interference i would go with the 1.5 kit

Because E-body springs are not originally parallel, both kits share the same 1" offset front hanger. The 1.5" kit uses greater offset rear shackles.

The front hanger clears the frame rail, but the 1.5" offset rear shackles may interfere with Barracuda rear valence and factory exhaust tips.

Challengers have more shackle to valence clearance, so this is less of a concern.

Are you also putting in a B-body rear end, or just relocating your spring perches? I used his 1" inset hanger kit on my 1970 'Cuda E-body, so I could use the narrower B-body rear axle. Everything bolted in with no problems. It was close, but because of his rear shackle design, it doesn't appear there are any clearance problems with the rear valence. I have yet to test fit the exhaust tips. All of his stuff is well-thought out and of excellent quality, especially his customer service.

1970 Plymouth 'Cuda #'s 440-6(block in storage)currently 493" 6 pack, Shaker, 5 speed Passon, 4.10's
1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible 408 Magnum EFI with 4 speed automatic overdrive, 3800 stall lock-up converter and 4.30's (closest thing to an automatic 5 speed going)

Actually, my 1" offset kit can be used to bolt a B-body rearend into an E-body, because it changes the spring perch centers from 46" to 44".

Crud! I never realized that! I just installed your 1" kit. I didn't know I could've gotten another half inch with just different shackles...I should have read the website better.

I thought you had to do frame cutting and welding to go any wider then that.

I guess I could still do that, I haven't welded the new perches in yet, but I'd have to re-bend my swaybar again.

I agree though that the parts are great, and went in easy.....except the locknuts, the first one I tightened ripped all the threads right out of it. So be careful not to overtighten them.
