They came off my 74 Challenger. They were bolted to the underside of the rear frame rails I assumed at first they were for exhaust hangers but my stock single exhaust wasn't even attached to the right side. In retrospect I'm not sure why they would have installed one on each side on a single exhaust car. I was going to use them on the duals I am fabricating but I just couldn't get them to work without additional custom made bracketry. Since that was the case (for my resources) I went ahead and made brackets that served the purpose in place of these and used the stock holes.

Factory tie down points.

The mounting point seems to far out to work for the exhaust?

Thanks for the fast replies!! I was also guessing tie-downs but I always over think stuff LOL. Yeah outboard too far was the chief reason for not using them as hangers. Too much fabrication that I had to do anyway and mine won't look cobbled IMHO What I came up with is a bracket with round bar stock to utilize the rubber hanger biscuits that are used on so many of the newer stuff. I got some universal ones from Orielly's but after inspection they are exactly like the ones on my 98 Ram

Anyway, thanks again
Scott
