I found what I think is a 72 SE Charger, but I have'nt seen pic's of it yet to really know. My question is: Can you get rid of the SE style rear quarter windows and make them roll down like a regular charger? What would be involved?

You most certainly can!

There is a factory "filler panel" welded into the standard 1/4 panel. The 72 SE's use standard Charger rear glass and window lifts. You would have to cut out the filler panels and mount up the proper window felts and such. Should be a pretty straight forward process.

Of course, you'd have to change the upper rear sail panels, as they are different. Might have to find a few trim pieces from a 71, or 72 (non-SE) to make it factory.

will need enlarge drip rail and its propper moldings, get interior panels involved ( sail and upper rears ). If intereted, get the belt moldings too. Glass itself is thwe same, no prob on that. Regular new window felt kit.
