I am looking for the best floor and firewall insulation for my challenger. I would like to stop heat from coming into the car. Plus do you think I need to put it under the back seat. I saw some called fatmat on ebay but I do not know if this is good for heat. I am not worried about sound as much as keeping the heat out.

I doubt that this is the best, but it is very easy to work with and is cheap and easy to get. Hope this gives you some ideas.

Gary, I swear I learn more from looking at your detailed restoration pics than anything else. I am in the process of doing my first floor pan on my Challenger and love to study your photo's. Thanks and keep em coming.

It comes in 24" wide rolls and wider at Home Depot is where I got it. It is about 3/16" thick. It forms easy and I used 3M brand spray adhesive to stick it on.
I have it in both of my cars and I was driving them this past summer on 95 degree days and my AC was easily cooling my cars, even my black 74.

I was considering using Lizard Skin, it's a spray on insulation. Anyone used it?

check out the car audio boards , there are 8 million products to use everything from spray in to closed cell foam, depends on the budget I just did my wifes truck (she hates rattles) I have just short off 300 sq foot of sound deadener in the truck
