How is the proper way to correct the rocker arm geometry. Rocker roller tip is approx in the center of the valve on the base circle, then moves to the exhaust side of the valve stem as it begins its travel. The rocker tip moves back towards the center of the valve stem near the end of its travel, then reverses its path on the valve closing.
If I'm correct, the rocker tip should start on the intake side of the valve stem and move through the center, then back on valve closing.
These rockers came with the heads (B1BS). Is this something thats fixable?
Thanks,
Brian

On a shaft system the rocker arm geometry is only correct for the designed amount of valve lift. As you increase the lift the rocker shaft has to go lower in the head to keep the geometry correct. Most people do not have the ability to lower the rocker shaft so they just live with it.

In your case the rocker shaft needs to go down a small amount but it is a difficult task to accomplish. If this is a serious engine then the correct thing to do is to mill off the saddles and use a block system like the old Max Wedge engines. If it isn't a serious engine then don't worry about it.

Most guys who run serious engines these days use a paired shaft system such as the Jesel setup. The single shaft system just doesn't work very well when you start to run a lot of valve lift or a bunch of spring pressure.

Here is a picture of a Jesel setup on my EZ heads at 0.800 lift. The Jesel design makes it easy to raise or lower the shaft to get the geometry correct.

Here is a block setup on iron heads that I did years ago. It is the only way to get good geometry with a lot of valve lift with a single shaft system. I don't think I'd bother with this much work anymore unless the rules required it.

Lash caps will give you more rocker roller tip area to ride on.

To that you can add longer valves. Rather expensive, but if you are buying them anyway, you can then set up for more installed height if you need it. Indy 440-1 valves are the same dimensions as .100 long BBC valves.
