My biggest concern is determining if the register in the crank that is deep enough to accept the transmission input shaft. I know the vintage LA motors are hit and miss --- many but not all automatic cars don't have the register cut deep enough to accept the input shaft. The choice in that case is to bore the hole deeper or cut a portion of your input shaft off. I have never been in that situation and hope to avoid it in the future. So, the punchline, does a 5.9 magnum crank have a crank hole deep enough to fit a manual trans input shaft?
I should be able to answer this question later in the week if I pick up this motor. Just an FYI, keeping the slant in my Challenger. This is a cheap way of getting a running motor back in another car.
