I have a 72 Dodge Dart, My car has a vibration when hot & above 50mph when slowing down, & you can fell a little vibration wall driving when their heated up & it seems like in front... So after first time it happen I put new wheel bearings in, new brake shoes all the way around & took my front drum off to have them turned, seemed better, but adjusted up wear they should be, steel had small vibration when hot, so I back them off some & steel had ok brakes, drove it some then on passenger side brakes got squeaky, then load squeaky, so took a look at brakes, pulled passenger side off it had a lot of brake dust in bottom of drum, driver side not much, so I'm thinking little brake drag on one side because of old brake springs, so I put new brake springs on both sides...& now its got low squeak, back the way it was, vibration when adjusted up when hot slowing down at above 50mph! My passenger side drum lug nut stud holes are bent out some, could that be the prob.? If its not that, then I'm thinking out of round drum!
What do you guys think?
I have pics, but look over cotter pin missing because I tried readjusted wheel bearing also & steel like putting it in when took a pic!

Take the drum somewhere to be turned or replace it.....or swap it w another drum is the only way to test your idea.

Sounds like the drums have already been turned and are too thin. Time too replace.

Makes sense...machined cold...distort when hot...variable thicknesses around the drum...hence variable expansion...the more thinner; the more so...My $0.02

All Mopar drums on frt were swedged.Same with the early type thru 64 rears.Had some idiot pull drums off of the hubs on a 61 we bought. They were so bad that the pedal actually almost pushed your foot off when you hit the brakes. We had the swedge tool at work years ago.I wish I had got it along with other stuff they trashed when we closed the shop.Ever though about going discs on the front? You will never use drums again.Rocky
