Well I can tell you plymouth frt hangers and later springs wont work.I know tried to use a set on my 65 and they wont work unless you change the spring position and ther isnt enough room on the stock hanger to redrill it.Rocky

after reading your reply i went out to the garage and checked a '64 plymouth hanger against my origanal '65s that were redrilled for 22" front segment xhd spring. the plymouth front hanger is a perfect fit for the later 22" front segment springs.

Mancini Racing has the correct spring hangers for early B body cars. You can run 21 inch springs on those cars or change over A body springs or E body springs. You just have to buy the correct hangers to do the trick.
For a street car a good way to go is to use E body replacement springs with the right hangers. For a race car, go with the one inch longer hangers and put Super Stock springs on there.
If you go the E body spring route then the guys at Firm Feel are the ones to call. They are the ones who recommend E body springs on the early B body cars for street performance use.

I put ss springs on my 65 coronet,I bolted them in with the stock front hangers, works perfect.
Sure, works perfect if you ignore the one inch change in wheelbase, shorter driveshaft and mis-alignment on the shock absorbers!

If you need the correct SS spring hangars for a '65 "B" body, PM me. I have a pair that I used for mockup purposes when I moved my springs in. They have never been used.

The biggest reason to change the K-member is that '68 up has an improved idler arm support bracket. The newer style supports the idler arm at top and bottom with a bolt through the center. The older style is only supported at the bottom.
not to mention that it opens up a huge selection of headers since you would use '66-up headers, better weight distribution and more room for clutch fan/electric fan.

I guess you are talking about rear hangers because my car has a relocation kit. There are no hanger in the front right?

These are the aftermarket bolt in SS hangars which replace the original bolted in hangars. If you have moved the springs into the longitudinals, as I have, they won't do you any good.
