I have to put together two street hemis here and the mopar perf headbolt kit, inner studs ,protrude a fair bit into the intake ports.should I grind these down? the heads are built and assembled so I don't really want to start grinding in there although I could thread the studs into a spare head, grind em and then put them into the heads Im using or should I even bother?

Ive got an arp kit here and those studs sit shallow in the port, leaving a hole .

Id swear a couple of the studs and head bolts in the mopar kit appear bent too........

It depends on if you care how much power the Hemi makes. If you care, take them out and grind them down flush with the port floor. It's pretty easy to do.

Remove the long ones and grind them down flush like HemiJoel suggest On the ARP studs use a good epoxy sealer to fill in the holes, make sure and use a good thread sealer on both sets

Don't want to hijack this thread but my arp studs are not long enough for the nut and the washer(very little in the head). do they make different lengths? decks been milled .0125

Yes. Different manufacturer heads require different lengths.
For example ARP-245-4312 is just the 7/16 valley studs for World blocks (tad longer)

stock block and stock heads and the other studs-nuts are long enough, the studs are screwed all the way in right?
