Does all the 4wd stuff just bolt in the 2wd frame?
I have a good 01 R/T but a canadian abandoned it here and so I can't get a title. I can buy a real nice 2wd 01 with a blowed up 4.7 and I know I can switch the motor/trans stuff out but what about the front diff stuff? I just want to switch all the R/T 4wd drivetrain stuff onto the one with a title if it is not too hard.

Have you thoroughly investigated a "Bonded Title" in Montana? Bryce

It will be a major project. Totally different suspension. Biggest issue would be adding rear torsion bar mounts to the two wheel drive frame. Front differential bolts to the engine not the frame. I just redid my Durango front drive system and it is not for the faint of heart. I know you do it faster than me but mine was 4 weeks of part time work. 9 hours to swap out the transfer case alone on a rented lift.

Swap frames with all the 4x4 stuff? The cab is where the visible VIN is.

This. Besides the frame differences making this a ton of work, ff you have access to 2 2-post lifts this could be done in about the same time as swinging the powertrains in and out. Drain all fluids and evacuate the A/C and its 8 or 10 body bolts (I can't remember what that gen had)and some wire harnesses. Lift both bodies, roll the chassis out and over, and button it all up.
I believe you will have to swap in the I/P, or at least the wiring from the R/T and put it in the 4.7L body. There are a number of 4wd circuits you would be missing, especially if it is an electric t-case range select truck.
Best way to go would be to strip the entire interior from the R.T and swap it to the 4.7L body. May be more than what you want to get into with this project.
