I have a 2000 Cherokee Sport that has developed a grinding kind of sound in the front end on the driver side. You can hear it when turning the wheel all the way to the right just short of full lock either while stopped or at a very slow roll. I got under the car today and had the wife turn the wheel and it definately sounds like it is originating on the driver side. It does not make the noise when turning the wheel to the left nor when going straight. It does not make the noise through most of the wheel turn, just when it is getting close to full lock. An example of when I hear the noise is while backing out of the driveway. If I back out and turn the wheel to the left while backing into the street then put it in drive and start going forward and turning the wheel back right to straighten the car out I hear it. I greased all of the fittings I could see including those on the sway bar but it still makes the noise. I hope my description of what is happening when I hear the noise makes sense. Any suggestions on what might be causing this are appreciated.

Bigger tires than stock will rub on the lower arms and sway bar corners at full lock, at least mine did, sounds like a rub more than metal to metal?

Wheel bearing would rrr rrr going down the road.

It takes gasoline to interest me.
