using the B&M 10235 weighted flexplate with my 73 340 and a neutral balance torque converter with a 904 trans.
works fine until shifted into reverse.Has anybody experienced
interference with this flexplate in a 904 trans?

The problem is inside the trans.

Tthe engine spins in only one direction , shifting to reverse shouldn't make a difference with flexplate to convertor connection/interface if it is ok in forward motion/drive.

..my transmission guy says that the pressure is higher in reverse and can balloon the converter and distort the flexplate ever so slightly...there was not much clearance between the flexplate and the starter when i assembled them.
the 10235 is actually for a 727 and i am using it on a 904.
