What does the resister do on the wiper motor and do i need it if i have a one wire alt with internal regulator does it regulate the power to the wiper motor?? Thanks moparts and Techs

The resistor on the WW motor is not part of the ignition system or charging system at all. It's there to slow down the wiper speed.
