Anyone running digital gauges in their cars? I was wondering how they look in the daylight? Are they still easy to read? Are they bright enough to read on a sunny day?

I had a set, hooked them up outside the car before I was going to install them, and was extremely disappointed. Not only will you not be able to see them in sunlight unless your dash is shaded, they are slow to respond. I called them, about how slow they were and they acknowledged they had a delay, but thats what they sell. I sent them back.

I have dakota digtal gauges water temp and oil pressure both seem to be working very well.

Both of those 2 are on my center console never had a problem reading them in the day.

I also have 2 nogstrom"spelled wroung" gauges i installed in my dash volt meter and tach. The tach gives me problems all the time re wired it twice and still give my problem. the voltmeter seem to be working fine.

No problem with seeing them in the daytime also but this is in a 71 challenger and the dash hangs over the cluster

I have Dakota Digital in blue. I like them. A little hard to read in bright sun because it's a convertible. Red is supposed to be best in sunlight.

I put one in my boss's '67 Firebird 'vert 4 years ago and it isn't too hard to read when the sun is right on it. There are three ohm settings for the fuel gauge (for his car anyways) and none of them gave an accurate reading on the low/empty side of the gauge . He has run out of gas 2-3 times because of it. But otherwise they have some pretty cool features built into them .

Death or Glory...it's just another story.
