Switched from Wilwood pads on my Dynalites(front disc only on my E Body ) as car would felt almost as no front brakes.
Went to Hawk pads, car now stops but rally wheels are covered with brake dust within 15 miles of cleaning them.
Now considering ceramic pads but been told that stopping power will take me back to where I was with a Wilwood pads,,,but much cleaner.
Car is non power brake car but still with drum brake master cylinder. Have ordered up a 1972 disc brake, non power master to find if this will help. Smaller piston equals greater braking pressures,,,however testing of my braking pressure appears ok.
Car is street driven only 440 six pack.

I am not certain if the valve had been removed. However I have spun the front wheels when off the ground and they both spin freely with very little apparent drag. I then assumed the valve has been removed. And with little drag felt that excessive drag was not the cause of dusting of wheels.
Perhaps that is incorrect thinking on my part. Do you have a thought on this?
I know I dont have the valve in mine and yes it still gets the dust pretty quick.. softer pads get eatten up quicker but stop better without the heat.. the harder style pads need the heat but put out less dust.. I have to clean the front wheels on a regular basis.. this is on my street rod
