Charger500 OP member Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 103 Tennessee	I have a 70 charger and noticed the handle provided in the kit hits the dash before engaging 1st, 3rd or 5th. It is a 12 inch shifter probably universal or Camaro design. I have a buddy seat and prefer to keep it. I noticed it with the initial mock up and was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and which handle you went with. I prefer a ball handle not pistol grip. Thanks.

Have you tried a 69 B body 4spd shifter (modified of course)?...Keisler used to offer a line of repro Mopar factory style shifters designed to fit the Tremecs, but with going out of business, that line may now be obsolete, unless the new owners of Keisler are going to continue offering them?...you may want to contact them www.shiftsst.com An other alternative, although you don't like the pistol grip is a 70 Bench seat pistol grip (availablr repro from many sources) shifter, much easier to adapt to the Tremec shift nub...the shifter throws in the Tremec are radically shorter than the factory 4 spd Mike Here's the 69 B body style shifter for ball lovers 8191252-benchseat.JPG (60 downloads)
