Blew up the 5.7 hemi in my 06 300c. Sucked water into intake and it threw a rod. Have a chance to buy a 05 hemi from a Charger. What issues with this swap?
Was told this wouldn't work, too many differences. Anyone know what would change?

Not sure what year they changed the reluctor wheel tooth count but that would be the most difficult to overcome.. The sensors have changed the plugs over the years so I do not know if they are different but if the are just use your old sensors on the replacement engine same could be true about the intake and injectors..

Anyone know if I can just swap the tone ring or reluctor?

You will be ok with the tone ring and reluctors. May have to change valve covers, wires and coil packs though.

Check to see if it has the MDS. If it has the cylinder shut down it may not work. I think the ignition system may be different also. I think there is a difference with the coils.
