Picked this up earlier this summer. Not for everyone but I just love this car! At the local car show not only did I win Best Modified Mopar but I also had this 4 year old girl come up to my car, try to hug it, stare up into the eyes and ask my car it's name! The eyes sadly is one of the greatest features that people comment on and 99% of the compliments are good. The car is a 1971 Dodge Dart Swinger. Used to be a slant 6 car before it became this. Engine is a 440 Magnum built by K&S Machine. Dyno'd at 430hp and 500ft-lbs of Torque. Rear end is a Moser built 8-3/4 with 3.91 suregrip. The transmission is a 727 automatic with a 2800 stall converter and currently sporting a B&M Quicksilver Ratchet shifter. Future plans for the car are to change the 18" wheels to 15" and also contemplating a fiberglass lift of hood with a scoop, all in flat black. The Car: The Interior: The eyes: The 440: My car at the last car show: Holding my award: Best Modified Mopar: Sitting at my cousin's shop next to his Ford Coupe: Again sitting at my cousin's shop next to a client's car:

The car looks great. I personally would leave the wheels on it and the color is great.

If it were me, I'd keep the 18" wheels and fix the stance a little bit by lowering the car and reducing the rake. But it's your car, and man is it cool.

The only problem with keeping the wheels is they rub on the front when turning. Before I bought the car it actually had 22" wheels.

At the last carshow of the season in my area: I won the Earl Olsen Memorial Trophy. Sort of like a "Best of Show" deal. You compete against all the other cars for it, not just a single class. The big trophy I don't get to keep since it has all the previous winners since the award was made in 2006. Instead you get a little trophy you are allowed to keep. Everything I've won so far this year. These are the first awards I've won from Car Shows for any car I've owned!
